RR The Type RR is the standard STARBAR element. A high-density sintered silicon carbide element, Type RR is available in a large range of diameters and lengths,in two cold end types. One Piece RR has no welds and is highly stable at temperatures up to 1700°C. Cold ends are impregnated with silicon metal to reduce their resistance. Three Piece RR features welded-on low resistance (LRE) cold ends which run cooler than any one-piece cold ends. Heat is concentrated in the furnace, not the ends, for energy efficiency. Maximum temperature 1425 °C. |
U Comprising two carefully-matched SiC rods united with a silicon carbide bridge, Type U elements provide for wiring both terminals from one side of the furnace. Ideal for drop-through designs, radiant tube systems or where one element will not span heating chamber. Pictured : yepe U element with straight cold end. Dumbbell cold end also available. |
W Identical to Type U,except with three matched SiC rod sections for three-phase service. Pictured : Type W element with dumbbell cold end. Straight end also available. |
SE(Spiral) For maximum performance at up to 1650 °C. High-density silicon carbide element is spiral-cut to increase the resistance of the hot zone. This element is designed to be wired at both ends. |
TW TW is similar to the SE STARBAR. Instead of spiral-cut, cross section makes small. Increase the resistance of TW is smaller than RR. This material especially takes effect in nitrogen atmospheres. For maximum performance at up to 1450 °C. |
USE The same hot zone and cold end material as the SE type STARBARs, with multiple legs. SE type STARBARs and offer a configuration that allows the electrical connections to be made at one end. |
SER This high-density double spiral element is cut so as to place both electrical terminations on the same side of the element. Equipped with an integral terminal assembly, Type SER reduces the cost of furnace construction, maintenance and wiring, especially where furnace design or dimensions preclude wiring from both ends. Ideal for blind holes. |

TSE TSE STARBARs are available in five different diameters. The TSE is similar to the SE.The TSE STARBAR has a thin wall construction and an internal diameter open from end to end. The thin wall construction and an internal STARBAR useful for tube furnace applications. |
TSR Available in five different diameters,TSR STARBARs feature a large inner diameter used as a heating chamber. With both electrical connections on one end,the TSR STARBAR is similar to the SER STARBAR. |
